Seranova Bio is identifying therapies for autoimmune diseases. Autoantibodies are antibodies found in patient blood that target their own antigens. While autoantibodies are commonly studied as causes of autoimmune diseases, Seranova is exploring how they lessen disease severity in some patients. This is examined through ‘natural’ clinical trials, when a fraction of patients develop autoantibodies to a specific target. Seranova’s proprietary technology for rapid antigen profiling generates an extensive collection of ‘natural’ clinical trials, providing them with exclusive access to results. By examining these results, Seranova is screening and validating targets from trials to build a pipeline of first-in-class therapeutics.
