ZymoChem is developing microbes that can produce everyday chemicals from renewable sources. Biotechnology is now in a strong position to disrupt traditional fossil-based industries by using advances in biological engineering to make sustainable chemical products. ZymoChem is leveraging these advances and optimizing the approaches to improve performance, scalability and cost for each industry, facilitating widespread adoption. In particular, ZymoChem is using their proprietary carbon conserving (C2) technology and chemistry platform to design microbes with artificial biosynthetic pathways to convert renewable feedstocks into bio-based products. C2 microbes use little oxygen and offer much biological diversity allowing ZymoChem to develop products for their customer’s needs.
