Ultivue is developing solutions for researchers to uncover the spatial biology of cells. Spatial phenomics involves mining tissue images in their own context to identify spatial patterns that are linked to clinical outcomes. To mine tissue images, Ultivue created their InSituPlex technology that creates a linear relationship between biomarker abundance and staining intensity and avoids tedious calibration and ambiguous spectral unmixing. Unlimited numbers of biomarkers can be used in the assay system and can be co-localized with up to 12 markers, enabling the efficient testing of several hypotheses quickly and robustly. Ultivue’s technology has been used for diverse applications, including imaging of the tumor microenvironment.
