Without intervention, current soil health is in jeopardy due to previous unsustainable practices. Trace Genomics is sequencing soil to improve agricultural techniques. With the use of their Trace Environment Soil System (TESS), a powerful engine that uses DNA technology and data science to provide actionable, sustainable soil solutions, Trace can offer soil diagnostic products, known as “scores”, to identify what fertilizers should be used for which crops. The idea is to optimize soil biology and improve the efficiency of fertilizer use, with recommendations backed by data. TESS enables customers to have insights into the health of their soil and how to better manage it.
