Totus Medicines is using chemical biology to make the entire human genome druggable. Currently, 90% of targets to treat disease are considered “undruggable”, and Totus Medicine wants to change that. Using their high-throughput platform, Totus is discovering drugs with unprecedented volume and efficiency, thereby generating a catalog for targets across the human genome. The platform exploits covalent chemistry and combines it with ultra-high throughput cell-based screening and AI/ML-powered drug design so that the library grows and learns over time. Totus is currently prioritizing untreatable diseases including specific cancers and heart diseases, but the ultimate aim is to have a searchable knowledge base of precision drugs.
