Gene regulator profiling in live cells for drug development
About:
Talus Bio is decoding the regulome to identify drugs that target previously undruggable targets. The regulome is the cellular machinery that controls gene expression by reading patterns on DNA. Dysfunction of the regulome is a primary cause of many diseases such as cancer. Talus is integrating technological innovations across biology, chemistry, automation and artificial intelligence to unlock the regulome and discover new therapeutics. To identify therapeutics, Talus is performing Network Mapping and Activity to understand the high-level map of a genetic network and use functional proteomics to monitor the activity of transcription factors. Talus’ initial focus is on finding treatments for patients with high clinical need, where transcription factors are drivers of the tumor.
