Suono Bio is revolutionizing treatment options for gastrointestinal diseases by enabling localized delivery of therapeutics. One of the greatest challenges in drug development is delivery modality. Suono is harnessing the power of ultrasound as their delivery platform - ultrasound acts on the therapeutic molecules achieving ultra-rapid, formulation-independent drug delivery. This works for nucleic acids and temperamental molecules enhancing treatment for previously “undruggable” targets. Using their platform, Suono can harness the power of ultrasound to create new treatments for a variety of diseases, starting with inflammatory diseases. Suono’s lead program, SUO-2002, is now in clinical stages for patients with mild-to-moderative ulcerative colitis.
