Strand Therapeutics is developing mRNA therapeutics to treat cancer, heart diseases and rare diseases. mRNA has recently emerged as an effective, multi-functional and potentially curative treatment option for many patients. Strand’s approach to mRNA therapeutics is unique - creating mRNA constructs that contain information for self-replication and genetically programmed logic circuits. This application of synthetic biology to RNA therapeutics enables the creation of programmable, long-acting mRNA drugs such that the location, timing and intensity of expression can all be controlled. Stand has initially focused on treatment options for solid tumor cancers.
