Spear Bio is developing technology for ultrasensitive protein detection. Early-stage disease diagnostics and monitoring can be facilitated if biomarkers can be detected in microsamples at scale. Spear Bio is developing robust, ultrasensitive immunoassays for tiny sample volumes that can detect as low as single-digit counts of proteins per sample. Spear’s approach uses a two-factor authentication detection technology that allows this quantification at low abundance. The simple workflow enables the rapid scale testing for large cohorts of subjects making Spear’s technology amenable for various applications.
