Synthetic Cells

Slingshot Biosciences is developing next-generation synthetic cells that can be used for both diagnostics and therapeutics. Through a combination of biochemistry, high-precision manufacturing and polymer chemistry, Slingshot is creating synthetic cells called FlowCytes - these cells can be custom printed on demand and at a large scale, unlocking a new paradigm for drug development, diagnostics and cell therapies. Slingshot’s synthetic cells can be used as cell therapy controls to enhance the accuracy and standardization of assays which are used for analyzing patient biological samples. Moreover, due to the synthetic nature, Slingshot can create custom cells for clients to match their required optical and biochemical parameters.
