SimBioSys is using AI and biophysical simulations to deliver on the promise of precision cancer care. The goal of precision cancer care is to enable physicians to better predict a patient’s response to therapy so that improved outcomes and lower toxicity is achieved. SimBioSys is attaining this by integrating patient-specific data and cutting edge spatially resolved biological simulations to model the behavior of cancer. Patient data includes electronic health records, diagnostic images (MRI, mammograms, PET scans) and genomic and proteomic data sets. With this information to build a 3D tumor model, SimBioSys can see patient-specific biological features such as tumor morphology and blood vessel localization so that responses to therapies can be better predicted.
