Segra International

Segra International is establishing themselves as a global leader in Plant Tissue Culture (PTC). PTC is the broad term that refers to the in vitro growth of plant cells under defined physical and chemical conditions and is used today to produce several crops at scale including potatoes, bananas, eggplants and more. However, there are several crops that have no simple PTC solution. Segra is using their technology to find cultivation strategies to expand the number of species that can be grown with PTC. In particular, they are currently focusing on cannabis where there are thousands of varieties that require tailored cultivation procedures. Segra’s approach also removes pathogens, prolongs storage capabilities and augments plant performance.
