Sedec Therapeutics is modulating the immune system by targeting protein palmitoylation to develop therapies for autoimmune diseases and cancer. Protein palmitoylation is an important protein modification that so far has received little therapeutic focus. Sedec is instead creating their therapeutic platform to target dynamic protein palmitoylation pathways and translate unique biological breakthroughs into a new generation of therapeutics for autoimmune diseases. The aim is to find therapies that ultimately reduce inflammation with a current focus on inflammatory bowel disease.
