Scale Biosciences is developing advanced technology products for single-cell sequencing. Many researchers are now adopting single-cell sequencing techniques; however sample preparation can be challenging and yields can be low. ScaleBio has a patented split-pool barcoding and combinatorial indexing library preparation method that simplifies processing and enables sample multiplexing. Cells are processed through a series of wells where they undergo repeat rounds of barcoding. Depending on the number of rounds, the technology can be used for single cell experiments with millions of cells to thousands. ScaleBio’s scalable sample indexing can be applied to DNA, RNA, and protein, offering multi-modal application. So far, ScaleBio’s technology has been used to analyze mammalian organogenesis.
