Prime Medicine

Prime Medicine is using the latest CRISPR technology to bring gene editing to patients. Prime editing is an innovative new approach to achieve precision genome editing without inducing double-stranded breaks. This enables safer and more efficient editing and has the potential to address more than 90% of known disease-causing mutations. Prime Medicine is using this “search and replace” tool to restore normal genetic function to almost anywhere in the genome. To develop their pipeline, Prime is working with Beam Therapeutics to enhance therapeutic delivery and manufacturing.
