Pepper Bio applies machine learning to biological data to come up with treatments for highly aggressive, untreatable cancers. Still today, little is known about what happens in disease and how therapeutics actually work. Pepper Bio aims to identify the right target for a disease and the optimal drug for that target. Pepper Bio’s algorithms are proprietary, but they involve vast data coming from genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and phosphoproteomics (what Pepper likes to call “transomics”). Pepper already has an active drug pipeline with one candidate in phase 2 clinical and 2 other preclinical candidates.
