We’re pleased to share that Nuvig has dosed the first patient in our Phase 2 clinical trial, called INVGOR, evaluating NVG-2089 in chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). We will also be presenting Phase 1 data at the 2025 Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS) Annual Meeting. 

NVG-2089 is a recombinant Fc fusion protein designed to replicate key immunomodulatory functions of IVIg with the potential for greater consistency, scalability, and patient convenience.

This marks a significant milestone in our mission to bring targeted, non-immunosuppressive therapies to patients with autoimmune disease.

How do you deliver the anti-inflammatory effects of high-dose IVIG with a lower burden on patients? In an interview with NeurologyLive, our CSO and co-founder Pamela Conley and CMO Alan G. discussed the unique mechanism of NVG-2089, which is designed to selectively activate type II Fc receptors to engage key immune pathways – without broad immunosuppression.

Now in Phase 2 development for chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), NVG-2089 is a recombinant Fc therapeutic with the potential to offer efficacy comparable to IVIG — at a fraction of the dose and with a shorter infusion time. Pam and Alan also shared insights into our patient-focused trial design, where all participants receive active treatment.
