NuCyRNA focuses on developing disease-modifying therapeutics to neurodegenerative diseases, which have significant unmet medical needs in our rapid aging society. &nbsp;What you will do in this positionYou will contribute to, and in some cases lead, the preclinical development of oligonucleotide therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases.1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Wet lab experimentsa.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Conducting cell culture and molecular biology experiments (RT-qPCR, western blot). b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;RNA and protein analysis of mouse brain samples, with the option to gain additional hands-on experience in animal studies if desired. 2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;CRO management: collaborate with and oversee CRO partners conducting in vitro and in vivo studies. Ensure scientific rigor through data quality control (e.g., RT-qPCR) and contribute to study design and interpretation.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Working with the co-founder team on various tasks.&nbsp;Background and qualifications1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Scientific Background – Candidates should have expertise in at least one of the following areas:a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;RNA biology (e.g., RNA silencing, RNA splicing)b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., ALS, Huntington’s disease)c.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Oligonucleotide drug development2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Education – PhD or MD required. Recent PhD graduates and postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to apply.
