NeuroDex is a biotech company focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases through the development of blood-based biomarker arrays. Their core scientific approach centers on minimally invasive blood tests for the early detection of these debilitating conditions. By isolating and analyzing neuronal exosomes from plasma they aim to develop a method for early and accurate diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and ALS. NeuroDex has developed a proprietary immunoaffinity isolation platform called ExoSORT which utilizes plasma-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) and proprietary recombinant antibodies to isolate specific neuron-derived EVs. ExoSORT has been utilized with RNAseq, unbiased proteomic, and spike-in recovery experiments.
