Mythic Therapeutics is a Waltham, MA-based biotech company founded in 2017. They are pioneering a powerful new approach to improve the effectiveness of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for cancer treatment. Traditional ADCs deliver chemotherapy, where over 95% of the dose often enters healthy tissues, rather than cancer cells, limiting their effectiveness and increasing toxicity. Thus, Mythic is developing next-generation ADCs with enhancements to limit these issues. Their FateControl™ proprietary platform increases therapeutic payload uptake by cancerous cells and prevents the payload from being released in healthy tissues, minimizing side effects. This more potent cancer cell targeting should result in improved treatment outcomes for cancer patients.
