Modulo Bio

Modulo Bio focuses on harnessing the power of the neuroimmune system to develop innovative treatments for neurodegenerative diseases. Their research centers around the role of microglia, specialized immune cells in the brain, in the progression of these conditions. Modulo Bio has developed a proprietary platform that allows them to engineer human microglia-centered neuroimmune microenvironments from patient stem cells. This enables them to manipulate and measure the neuroimmune system in controlled conditions, identifying new therapeutic targets and developing potential treatments. Modulo Bio is primarily focused on developing treatments for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
