Lupagen is developing first-in-class bedside enabled cell and gene therapies. Cell and gene therapies are changing rapidly and becoming increasingly competitive as more companies pursue similar diseases. Lupagen’s technology, XynvivoTM System, collects a patient's peripheral blood cells using a standard leukapheresis process. Within the system, Lupagen’s transgene viral vector or nanoparticle product is added with unbound particles removed prior to reinfusion to the patient. The entire process can be done within a few hours in a patient-connected closed loop procedure. Lupagen is unique in their extracorporeal delivery approach.
