Thermal ablation therapy

Fractyl Health is focused on new approaches for metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity. The prevalence of type 2 diabetes and obesity continues to increase despite advances in treatment over the past 50 years. To mitigate this, Fractyl has developed two disease modifying therapies, Revita and Rejuva. Revita, Fractyl’s lead product candidate, is designed to remodel the duodenal lining via hydrothermal ablation to edit abnormal intestinal nutrient sensing that is a potential root cause of metabolic disease. In contrast, Rejuva is a gene therapy candidate that has shown significant weight loss in preclinical studies.
