What an AUA! Always so exciting to see the constant push for innovation and I enjoyed seeing all the talks and connecting with friends and new acquaintances.

In particular, I enjoyed the panel discussions during the Society of Benign Prostate Disease meeting. The major takeaway, from my perspective, is that there is a tremendous amount of innovation happening in the BPH space from an intervention standpoint, and it is demanding that diagnostics catch up. It’s clear that without strong diagnostics, there is a struggle to ideally categorize the optimal tool for a particular patient. Is the intervention to preserve the bladder? Is it about lifestyle problems caused by LUTS? Which symptoms are the chief complaints?

More broadly, I was walking with Ivan Irias through the conference and he nailed it perfectly when he said, “Bishara, this is all about continuing the conversation.” And he’s dead right, it’s about continuing the conversation between industry and healthcare, between research colleagues, between academics and private practice, etc…

So in the spirit of continued conversation and innovation - let’s keep talking! The Emano Flow team is restless (sometimes literally) to improve LUTS care. Catch you all next year!
