Element Biosciences is developing genetic analysis tools for research and diagnostics. Although DNA sequencing continues to get cheaper, Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) is still costly at scale and is less frequently used for precision diagnostics, despite providing higher resolution due to its comprehensiveness. Element’s AVITI System, a benchtop next-generation DNA sequencer, has started a new era in DNA sequencing that enables the identification of all types of sequence variations. AVITI can also be applied to single cell RNA and targeted sequencing, which enables gene expression analysis and novel variant detection, respectively. Element is therefore making groundbreaking innovations in surface chemistry, instrumentation and biochemistry to deliver high quality sequencing data.
