Cradle Genomics is developing a new generation of clinical tests to transform prenatal care and women’s reproductive health. Current non-invasive prenatal screening relies on measuring fetal cell-free DNA from the mothers blood. However, given the small fraction of fetal DNA compared to the maternal background genetic analysis is limited. Cradle has developed a novel prenatal testing methodology that isolates and utilizes intact cells to increase the purity of fetal DNA for genetic analysis. This enables testing to be performed at the earliest stages of pregnancies. Cradle’s aim is to use these genetic analysis platforms to help mothers and families through pregnancies.
