Atom Bioworks

Atom Bioworks uses DNA nanostructures to sense and develop therapeutics for infectious diseases. Atom’s strategy is to detect and kill viruses and cancer cells by using programmed DNA. To reduce the time and cost of developing rapid diagnostics and effective therapeutics, Atom created their DNA-STAR platform, a next-gen designer DNA-based high affinity binding material. DNA Stars mimic the multivalent binding preference of viral protein clusters to achieve a new level of high affinity binding to viral antigens that can be reprogrammed by changing the DNA sequence for each pathogen target. This modularity gives Atom the edge to custom develop drug therapeutics for various infectious diseases at unprecedented speed.
