Arpeggio Biosciences is using systems biology to discover new drugs that have therapeutic value. Transcriptomics provides a wealth of information into the whole suite of genes expressed in a cell. By applying high-throughput transcriptomics to compare both healthy and diseased cells, Arpeggio can see how gene expression is perturbed and identify RNA signatures that define disease. From this information, Arpeggio can then match drugs to a disease based not just on a single target, but the entire biological network. Arpeggio’s innovative transcriptomics platform enables them to accelerate the pace and efficiency of drug discovery and find therapies for drug-resistant cancers. Currently, Arpeggio’s research is focused on mesenchymal tumors and autoimmune diseases.
